For the lazy and mechanically impaired (me), I bought
a
battery powered fridge fan.  It is about the size of a
12 oz. can and will run on 2 D batteries for 30 days.
I just bought mine and used it on a ten day trip and
it was still going strong. A large downside is that I
am giving up prescious fridge space, but it is a nice
quick fix.  You should be able to find it at any RV
store.
