There is no free lunch but I will take a free gas tank... Wanted to drop
the tank to replace fuel lines and check on everything under there this
winter. Does anyone have anymore info on this recall?

        But now the good news for all of us!  There is still a open
recall on
the gas tank, sending unit, and idle stabilizer on the '87 Syncro
Camper!
 I just set up a appointment and they said at the very least i was
getting a new gas tank!!!  They rest is based on inspection.  So, all
you
vanagon owners call service with you VIN#'s and get a free gas tank and
maybe more.
