However, here's the trick <g>. Remove the fuel rail, leaving the hose full (2") length. Bend the hose over sideways and use a sharp narrow knife -- I used a small pocket knife but a #11 Exacto might be ideal; sharp utility knife probably fine -- to work a slit into the captured end. If it seems good to you, slit the entire hose down to the barb and then work the slit down past the barb. The slit doesn't have to be straight, it just has to make it to the end of the hose. Bending the hose away from the slit puts the whole thing under tension and makes it much easier. All this took me about two minutes per injector. The proper 7mm new hose slips over the barb and into the ring and is captured. david
