Hi Adam, you've got to drive a TDI! It has ACCELERATION! You're judging by the old Vanagon Diesel! A world of difference! And fuel availability? Well, as soon as you start buying diesel you discover where the stations are and then you discover which has the best price. There's a 10 cent a gallon difference in a two block area of my town! But the best is yet to come: The terrific mileage per gallon. Yes, the diesel Vanagon got 18 to 20 MPG. But the TDI gets a whopping 42 to 46 MPG. I say drive one and you're hooked!
