Subject:      CB antenna and Paulchen Rack

Well, I just ordered a complete Paulchen set up from Steve at Eurocampers.
I am getting ready for the summer vacation, and have been stumped by where
the heck to mount a CB antenna without drilling any holes.  Then a thought
occurred to me: use a clamp-type mount and attach it to the top-most
horizontal bar of the Paulchen, then route the cable in through the back
hatch.

I bought a "truckers mirror" type mount from Radio Shack, and  I'm trying to
figure out the best way to mount my K40 antenna to it.  It is an L-shaped
bracket designed to clamp onto a tube, like a truck mirror.

Anyone ever mount an antenna like this before?  I'm curious about the
quality of the signal, since the ground plane will end up being just the
rack, and it will be mostly vertical rather than horizontal.

In any case, I'll let everyone know how it goes when I get it installed.
