Subject: Water vs Air transmissions? Help.
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Dear List Members,

Can someone summarize the differences between early water boxer and late air cooled transmissions? I can get a junk early 80s water westy for parts and own an '82 air cooled westy with a bad syncro in 3rd. I faintly remember something about the shift linkages needing an adapter. What about gear ratios etc. Would this work?

George in Racine, Wisconsin
