I have these on my 1988 Westy. They lower the height at least an inch. They are certainly strong enough for the Westy, but the ride is very harsh. IMHO the H&R springs lower the front too much.

Anyway, it rides like the proverbial buckcart, but puts the handling on par with BMWs. <g>

I have not driven my Westy fully loaded with the H&R springs, it seems to be fairly consistent in performance and ride regardless of the load.
