Subject: Listing Westies on the List

Sorry, couldn't resist the pun. :-)

I just measured my spring sag for the Syncro Spring project, and I realized that my Westy lists toward the driver's side by around an inch front and back. I assume this is due to the extra weight of the camping gear, cabinets, etc. (In other words, it sits about an inch lower on the driver's side)

Does everyone's Westy list like this? Anyone ever swapped their springs from side-to-side in order to correct the problem? (I used to do this with old Jeeps, since the gas tank sat under the driver's seat - they always list to the driver's side and swapping the leaf springs side-to-side usually helped quite a bit).

With nearly 200,000 miles on them, I imagine the springs on the "camper side" have gotten pretty tired of carrying the extra weight - maybe swapping the rears (when I replace the fronts <g>) will help level things out...
