Subject: stock rebuild

The time has come to replace a few well worn parts in our 83.5 -1.9w/c-westy. Have priced the goods out at my local supplier and would like to run the numbers past list members to see if they are ball park. I love supporting my local shop "cause they're there when ya need them", but would like to weight my option on importing them directly from the U.S Prices are all in Can. funds

Pistons & cylinders-$440 main-------------------$100 Gasket set------------$180 Rings-------------------$ 50 Rod Bearings--------$ 15 Valve guides---------$ 5

I know this is a short list of needs, leaving out push tubes, lifters, cam etc...only an example of the price structure. Please reply with price quotes. It would be very appreciated.

*Attention those from the lower mainland, B.C if you have a discount at Cal imports or Bow Wow I would enjoy taken full advantage of it !!! Labatts or Becks? **If none of us here enjoy a discount at Cal-import or Bow-Wow let's get together and open an account? 15% to 30% could be shaved from our parts cost.
