Mine's aircooled and I use Syntec 5W-50 and still get an "empty" lifter occasionally. I feel like a child abuser or something, but I've driven as much as ten miles before it quietened. (I'm a little bit more careful than usual about rpms I hasten to add.) It seems like parking on an angle (both side or front/back) might exacerbate the problem.
