Hi Marshall:

My '87 Syncro had that same annoying habit. I would wait patiently at a stop for traffic to clear and when an opening came, I would step on the gas and would smoothly and quietly idle out in front of the traffic. I learned to shut the motor off and then start it up when I saw an opening.

Thanks to you on the list, especially Debi, I gave the AFM the QD Electronic cleaner treatment. I also fiddled with the throttle valve switch a bit but it was frozen up so couldn't do much with it.

Now I can wait at a stop for a couple of minutes or so and when I step on the gas the front of the van goes up in the air and away we go. WHEEEE!!

Bob
