Volks, I think we all want more power (my primary need) and less head gasket problems (neither of mine have had any of this, yet it is out there). On this second point I have no issues so far and my 91 Westy has 144K, 87 101k miles. I think that doing a "hop up" on the wasserboxer is the solution as being routinely published on the list here by Robert Lilley, he has done his homework and apparently has a slick, strong motor that will not corrode head gaskets. And all for $3K, (I'm sure that was his labor in there, so add 2K if you farm it out). Robert claims approx 130 super smooth horses, and no worries of changing out a) Tranny/Differential Gears or b) All engine electronics (ECU, sensors, AFM ect. ect.) and b) You can still run to your FLAPS/VW dealer for parts without any conflicts/confusion from the parts counter about the "Audi what???" you've got in there.

My $.02 USD's
