As I lack a Westie - not complaining, mind you - and the camping season is here is full swing, I've taken to looking for a refrigerator for Phred, my bus. There are, after all, a few beverages that need to be cold for proper consumption at the camp site :o) Has anyone on the list used the Norcold brand of AC/DC portable refrigerators? There's two that would seem ideal - the MRFT-440 @ 1.38 cu. ft and 3.1 amps @ 12vdc, and the MRFT-415 @ .53 cu. ft and 3.1 amps @ 12vdc. I have heard that these units do not really work all that well on dc voltage. Any experiences? Alan Bosch & a bus named Phred ('88 Wolfsburg) |
