A word to the wise concerning upper control arm bushings. When worn they allow forward to back motion of the suspension assembly, causing "cupping" of the tire. I am familiar with this because the p/o of my westie had ignored a worn one on the drivers side, and when the tire got loud rotated it to the back. He managed to turn a new set of tires into planter boxes in under 30,000 kms. It took me less then 2 hours and $69 to change the bushing but $600 for the new Michelins.
