Last night my oil light came on (Not Bright like an alert) but sort of dim. 1. Several weeks ago I had the oil sending unit replaced. 2. Oil in crankcase is full The only thing I did yesterday was to clean the Idle Speed Control Valve to see if I could get the idle under control. The little valve inside the unit moves freely. I sprayed the valve with electrical cleaner first and then sprayed it with WD 40 for lubrication. The idle is now worse than ever, idling about 2800rpm. Whether the two problems are related, I don't know. Any suggestions would be appreciated Lee... 86 Vanagon GL |
