Subject:   Re: Dometic parts

Jim and the list, We had an offlist exchange, and I too have had a singular lack of success, except at the VW dealer. They gave me a VW part number (255 070 525B) for the knob for a model 182B, and would cheerfully order it in for me. The hooker, it will cost me over $30 CDN plus 15% sales tax. I too am now chasing the local Dometic service people to see if I can get a cheaper price there. I am also going to scout a local 'old-time' TV-Radio repair place and see if one of the old long recessed-shaft knobs he may have in his junk box will work as an interim measure.

Cheers,

Ted Hoekman Dr. Theodore B. Hoekman, Assoc. Prof. Medical Informatics Faculty of Medicine Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's, NF Canada A1B 3V6 http://calloso.med.mun.ca (709)737-6703
