My pop top canvas was in excellent shape except the zippers ripped out on both the screen and flap. With my wife sitting in the luggage rack and myself inside the van, we passed a needle and thread back and forth and sewed the screen permanently shut. This of course loses access to the luggage rack from inside but I never felt the need to do that. I imagine you could sew a new screen in like we did. For the flap we sewed velcro strips on the flap and the mating velcro strip on the pop-top canvas. Makes it very easy to close the flap and allows you more choices on how much ventilation.
