Subject: SPRINGS [here's some info!]
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

WEll,

After missing out on most of the springs thread, I have MUCH to say now.

First, I bought some Heavy Duty Vanagon Springs from South Africa. And believe me they are tough!

I only bought one set (for me :P ) but I guess I could get a whole lot if anyone wants them. I have NOT installed them yet, so I can't vouch for the ride.

However, these are HD for the Audi powered Vanagons, which I cannot believe are heavier than a Westy.

The Rear springs measures 11" long. The coils are 11/16" thick in the middle less at the ends.

The Fronts are 13" long and 11/16" thick coils.

I a quickee measure of the front springs on my Westy seems to be 9/16". This may not seem like a lot, but the SA springs surrrre look bigger.

Anyway, does anyone want me to look into getting some?

James
