Ryan...I fitted a swivel mechanism recently and it was not much bother. I drilled out the spot welds on the track on the vehicle and bolted in the swivel plate. I bought a decent one from a UK supplier but it was made in Italy I think. It doesn't rattle and the seat does not rock from side to side when locked in the foreward position as I have been told some of the cheaper ones do. This may have been sales talk but I am happy with my purchase. Apparently it is the only swivel plate to have been been crash tested and got some sort of German safety certificate. If you like camping in your van then definately go ahead and get your pass. seat to swivel, it does make a difference to the living space.
