Subject: tightening poptop

Vanagoneers I realize the list appears to be down, but I hope this gets through before I leave for vacation this Friday. My 1980 westy's poptop does not pull down tight on the right side. This causes a lot of noise when driving into headwinds and does nothing for my sense of security and confidence that it's not going to bond with the pavement behind the car. I have gone through both my books and although I have find a way to adjust the poptop fore and aft, nothing tells me how, if at all, to adjust the tightness of the poptop when pulled down. The left side seems fine, the right is just cocked up less than half an inch. As a postscript, I have installed a new rubber seal to fit between the poptop and the front luggage area. Thanks in advance. Onward thru the fog David Conner terrapin@halifax.com
