OK I am not a Syncro expert (as anyone on the List can tell you) but doesn't the syncro have a subframe under the normal body which a 2wd Vanagon doesn't have? Wouldn't this add to the weight as compared to a 2wd? If I am wrong please tell me. Also aren't the front springs on a syncro different because they mount to a plate on the front strut while the 2wd Vanagon front springs are not mounted on the strut? Inquiring minds want to know...
