I've used the spring clamps quite a few times, but haven't been in any twisters with it yet, so haven't had a problem with it blowing off. I also use at least 5 clamps along the gutter, smaller ones with good stiff springs, they generally stay in place. I've been wondering how big a tarp they'd hold in place, and have been using an 8x10 so far. May have to experiment this summer.
