Why trade one set of problems for more of the same? I have seen more than a few Subaru boxers with cracked heads, and besides, it has been shown by Robert Lilley (sp?) that a VW waterboxer can make more power and be made more leak-proof. The inline 4-cyls. from VW are a better choice, if you need a different engine, in the Syncro there is no loss of ground clearance or any engine cover clearance problems.
