The slider portion of the side window in my '88 Westy was smashed. The glass shop at first said they would replace the whole unit, frame and all. Now they have just the slider section of glass. I'm concerned that they may not be able to just replace the slider without removing the whole frame, and possibly damaging it in the process. It appears the top and bottom parts of the aluminum frame need to be separated to remove/install the slider - is this correct?
