I think they are one of the best ideas in engine longevity. UPS has adopted this technology in their deliver fleet. The company selling units was called Pre-Luber. They are all plusses,- except- the cost of course, about $500 USD's plus an install if you can't figure it out yourself.The new synthetic oils like Royal Purple, Castrol Syntec and others are claiming they have additives that "magnetically" adhere a sheet of oil to the upper portions of your engine (barells, rings etc.) I think they do this to a degree and will reduce the now highly marketed "dry starts", yet I don't think it is possible to actually have the oil system pressurized prior to start-up as the Pre-Luber does. UPS agrees apparently. And they've got a few trucks.......
