Hi, John: Thanks for your response. I agree with the door vents as you described. Though the door vents on my 91 GL have no levers for "opening" or "closing". The rear vents I was referring to in my post to the List are the vents that are integral with the glass of the rear side-windows. These vents only occur on the late, late Vanagon's from what I can tell. I'm not referring to the vents that are integral with the body metal to the rear of the rear side-windows. I was actually hesitant to make my previous post, as I couldn't re-reference the literature where I read the basis for my post. But there is literature, either in my owners manual, Bentley, or elsewhere that indicates the vents that I'm describing "suck" air out of the interior of the vehicle. But, alas, no documentation at the moment. So, I guess the questions about these "vents" will continue! Thanks again, - - George Chapman, 91 GL Lake Almanor, CA |
