Well, after a few hours of struggling, and some swearing....with grease upto my armpits... I removed my first Vanagon engine. It was the 1.6 diesel. Gotta love that diesel slime on everything. I couldn't get two of the subframe bolts undone, so I had to pull it out the top... not fun. Getting the 1.6TD motor in should be just as pleasurable. Got any suggestions for getting things lined up again when putting the engine in >from above?
