The other listees who commented on this thread are right in that the Parts Place don't have good reputation for getting you the right part. However, looking at Kevins signature I see that he has two Diesels, and Parts Palce is probably the the biggest Diesel dismantlers I know of. The list vendors can probably get you most Diesel parts new, but I haven't heard of anyone having used Diesel parts. I don't have the parts place phone nr here. but I will check for their catalog at home.

The alternative to one stop shopping at Partsplace is to check around with Diesel owners who like me often accumulate extra parts in the garage.

Other than the internet a good way to get in touch with fellow Diesel owners is to hang out at the local Bosch fuel injection shop or a local Diesel engine rebuilder. These places (if you can find the real good ones) are quite a pleasant hangaout where one can fondle beautifully machined parts and if lucky perhaps get a lesson on some of the machines. Today when I went to the machine shop they had a barbeque and were discussing the pros and cons of lined cylinders (wet and dry).
