I had a similar problem with an AVP engine and I must say they were very good about paying for the replacement...there seems to be a manufacturing defect in the gasket that shows up on occasion...fortunately it happened in my driveway rather than out on the road. AVP was also very good about totally rebuilding the original engine they sent me after a shop here let it run without oil during instalation and it seized up...what a nightmare....but AVP was great....they replaced every damaged part and shipped it back at no cost to me....the shop here was a different story...
