Subject: Pics from visit to Eric
Content-Type: text/plain

I stopped by listmember Eric's house (vw4x4@fyi.net) in Pittsburgh, and snapped a few pics of some of the interesting stuff he has.

I'll let Eric jump in and describe the stuff, but here are a few words from me. The engine with the hole in the top is instructive. Don't drive your Vanagon when it starts to overheat, folks, or you could end up with a new venthole in the case.

Despite much chatter to the contrary, 2WD and Syncro clutches are different. Unfortunately, the picture isn't too clear, but you can see the flimsier 2WD clutch plate was sheared....this isn't supposed to happen with Syncro clutches.

The tow bar is a cool idea and we all have the necessary holes for it. Maybe you can elaborate, Eric.
