Subject: help needed re removal of ball and socket joint
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="x-user-defined"

Hi again Still stuck on the final step of installing accelerator cable on 85 Vanagon Autom. The old part was easy to remove EXCEPT for the @#$%& ball and socket at the rear end (near tranny). It is free-wheeling, loosely spinning but does not want to lift off. Is brute force prying the only way? Anyone have a trick, insight, knowledge on how to accomplish this frustrationg feat? Thanks, Leo Meaford ON
