Subject: 1985 GL FS - Macon, GA

There is an '85 GL for sale at Vineville Auto Sales here in Macon. Bob Tyson is the owner. I have no connection with him other than I bought my '84 from him in 1997. He said he was thinking about $1600 for the asking price

I have not driven the '85, but looked at it though the windows this morning. Odometer reading was 158,000+. Interior except for very back of cargo area looked very good. Exterior looks like it has been repainted (color of coffee with cream) and it looks like it needs a good rubbing or a new paint job. There is what appears to be a minor ding on the rear of the cargo door.

Mechanically it is going to need at a minimum new A/C compressor (per Bob Tyson), new tires and a new exhaust system (my assessment). I am going to try to take it out for a test drive next week.

Let me know if you are interested and I will e-mail results of test drive.
