Subject: Trip to Ken Wilford's
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Itching to take off on a short camping trip (190mi) and to have Ken replace the fuel lines in the VultureVan with his new clamps and lines, the wife and I headed for south Jersey from northeastern PA. A leisurely trip through the Pine Barrens brought us to Parvin State Park for the night. A quite evening was soon disrupted by six juvies playing 'how far can you slide your bike' on the newly stoned road!

The next morn at Ken's shop and awaiting the delivery of the fuel hose, he charged my A/C with 'Freeze-12'. I hadn't used the A/C because it never cooled the van very well. On the way home I had to turn it down to low fan and mid temp to just be comfortable in the high 80 degree day. The system took two cans of Freeze-12 and was well worth it.

The new fuel lines and clamps were installed with no big problems and now feel safe from those dreaded 'it burned up' stories. Ken also installed a new rotor and distributor cap after checking and finding both well burned and carboned up. It was a wonder it ran so well!

FWIW, I have no interest in the business, just wanted the list to know of a good mechanic.
