Saturday we will be reassembling our 1982 Westfalia's "New and Improved" motor that weekend.

We are so excited...I found so many things wrong (dropped valves, all four motor mounts broken, improper assembly, missing thermostat and cooling tin parts, etc.) and have a number of key improvements in place: counter-weighted crank, balanced & cc'd assembly, 24-plate oil coolers mounting behind front grill, 150% volume oil pump, etc.)

Late Thursday I completed the repair to the EGR assembly. The filter was clogged, the valve was stuck, the dispersal tubes inside the manifold were blocked, it was a mess. It is all clear and clean now...just one more step toward a cooler-running, more durable motor. Yeah!

Sunday, we are heading down to the town we are relocating to, Mt. Olive, NC (population 5,400). We will be taking in the parade and festivities there. Y'all come.
