Mark, >...replace the "high performance" muffler that was on the van. I am using a Walker 6" round 18" (I think, can check later)Super turbo muffler, 58$ in the stock location, I used a three bolt flange (muffler shop, $5), a shortened 2" ($4 at Autozone) turned down tailpipe extension (to clear the body I needed a pipe with about a 22 degree angle) with a Monza single tip resonator($30 Pep Boys). It exits to the right side, in the middle of the side bummper (I have the plastic ones), about 1.5" below the bottom of the bumper. It has excellent ground clearence. The exhaust is JUST slightly louder than stock. I only really hear it when I stand on the throttle. Cruising, I do not hear it. It breaths better than a stock muffler. I will be using a rear mud flap to protect the tip from being sand blasted by the tire. The only shop work I needed to install the muffler was to weld the flange to the muffler. @$10 at local machine shop other wise it needed NO shop labor.
