Subject: hOW DO i FIND THE BEST WAY TO TIME MY 83 1/2 WATERBOXER???
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

I have been unsuccesfull in locating this info. in the archives. I used a timing light to set up for CA. smog test and lost 2 miles per gallon ( 16.5 mpg from 18.5 mpg.) I jumped the Idle Control Modual to time the distributor with my strobe light. as per my Bently Manual. Any advice or reference to archive would be most appreciated.

my next attempt will be to set the timing at 28 degrees advance @ 3000 rpm. with the Idle control modual bypassed. What do you think????

My timing tools are a strobe with advance dial and a dwell meter.

Greg Clever.
