Body being in excellent shape is worth alot (since painting etc is so expensive). A normal price on a vehicle like this is around $5000. If you are getting a really nice deal it would be $3500. Less than that you are stealing it from the people and should turn yourself into the police :) Alot of people don't like high miles. On most vehicles I would agree but not on a Vanagon. Sitting or short trips will kill the waterboxer quicker than daily driving. To me there is no such thing as using the van too much. My '91 had 141k on it when I got it in '98 (that's around 20k miles a year) and it runs great now at 160k miles. No new head gaskets, rebuilds, tranny problems, etc. I really think keeping her on the road constantly is the key. That and a little prayer never hurts. :) Hope this van turns into a good one for you. Ken Wilford Van-Again John 3:16
