> HOW!!!!!!! I'm getting 16.5 on my 89 Westy @65 mph and want better!

Add some bolt on performance mods,

Rebuild the engine to HP specs

add adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

I was getting 28 mph at 55 mph but mileage dropped to 21 at 70mph to 75mph. I increased the fuel pressure to 40 psi from 36 psi and gained from 20.5 to 24.7 mpg at 70mph to 75mph.

I plan on increasing pressure a little to see results.

I still have to lighten flywheel, play with timing and mph per mpg to get closer to having my engine fine tuned.

I am doing this on my engine that I have modified from a "stock" engine. Only adjust the FI if you have done modifications to handle the changes OR CAN PUT it back stock specs.

There are a lot of variables in determining mileage. I have a 1988 Wolfsburg, with weekender interior, firestone tires at 40 psi rear 30 psi front, single driver. The mileage can increase if the engine works better.

I am getting @25mpg at 70mph.

Robert
