All, A couple of days ago I had informed the list about the '87 Wolfie I was considering purchasing. Well. . . I am now the proud owner of a brand spanking new(at least to me it is) 1987 VW Vanagon Wolfsburg edition!!! ALthough it is not officially in my hands yet, it will be tonight! She even already has a name! It was a name that I was considering for my dog and really like the meaning, but it just didn't fit. But for the van, it is perfect. Her name is "Bergner," which is German for "from the mountains." Which is where I would like to spend most of my time with her! So the name fits a lot better than it would for a hungarian bird dog(a Vizsla)! The price that we settled on was $4500 which I think is a fair deal for both of us. I am sure that there will be few quirks here and there that I will be asking about, but isn't that part of the love of owning and Vanagon! This couldn't have been better timing either, with the 4th coming up and all. For its crisining(sp?) we will be headed to the Trinity Alps in No. Cal. What better way to start th bond between owner and van 8-) Anyways, as all could imagine, I am anxiously waiting for when I pick up her and she is "officially" mine! ADAM '74 Midget '87 Wolfie(Bergner) long awaited! _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com |
