Picture this: An 86 Syncro Weekender 50 yards back from the Pacific Ocean, blue sky, 12 miles of white sand to the north, 12 miles of white sand to the south, two sand chairs and a parasol. Unbelievable! Wish you could have been there. Oddly, didn't see one other Westy on the entire beach. (Long Beach, WA) BTW, deliberately and repeatedly plowed into deep, loose sand and stopped just to see how well the Syncro worked. No problem. Dropped it into low gear and took off fine every time. Didn't even have to lock the differential. Greg & Val 86 Syncro Weekender (Was white - now nicely tanned) 79 Bug |
