I read about the necessity to flush my cooling system now and then, so I thought I would tackle it today. I went out to the driveway, started the engine in my '81 Westy, and let it idle for a minute or so. Then I put it in gear and drove down the road about a mile to the Country General Store. Bought a gallon of milk and drove home. That should do it. I love that air cooled engine. I also took the left rear axle off, greased the CV joints, turned it around, and put it back on. That took a bit longer. I don't care that much for the CV joints. Now I have to find out why the right caliper is sticking. Are these a pain? BTW, I was inspecting the remaining three Yoko 370s, since one blew a week or so ago, and found a big bulge in the tread of the other rear tire (the one that didn't blow). The fronts look OK.
