David,

I suggest John D. He rebuilds most of the dealers and local shops VW tranny's (standard and auto) here in Central Florida/Orlando. He rebuilt mine a few months back, and I am pleased with the work (normal disclaimer/not affilliated/ blah blah blah).

His number is: 407-281-0666 If you Like tell him I recomended him, If not don't, but I do recommend him.

If I can help any further, let me know. And by the way he charger me $750.00. I did remove and re-install the tranny, but I'm sure he wouldn't charge you too much if you wanted him to do it.
