Got your link from another VW owner. DESPERATE FOR HELP. I now live in Arkansas, moved here from Seattle WA.... DID NOT NOTICE (as it rarely get either warm or sunny in the NW), BUT IT APPEARS MY HEATER IS STUCK ON THE FULL ON OPERATION. Van is a 81 Vanagon, (air-cooled but air "HEATED IN CAB"). I have the full shop manual and all checks out as to the book, which is a wee bit vague on this area. AM curious how the heating system work to shut off, as there is only one "Heater flapper valve" show. YET, THERE ARE TWO separate pipes off the heater boxes. When I shut one off, it works as advertised, but the "Y" connection is after it and the right hand one (looking forward) has no such vale, nor does book show it. That means it keeps pumping air into the cab. With outside air temp 90+ you can imagine what the inside temp gets to in a real hurry. Something is wrong, cannot locate as all "appears" correct. Could use all and any help on this one ASAP, can hardly drive it at this time as heat exhaustion imminent, it seems. Thanks, e-mail to fwr@trafficking.net <mailto:fwr@trafficking.net> . AM at point of "VW CAMPER FOR TRADE for BEST PICK UP", with AC!!! Regards Frank
