Greetings

David did use a 3" pipe and it does fit the rubber boots from an 1.8L GTI, Jetta, etc. I am doing the same swap in about 3 weeks and I think I found some alternatives. Basically I am doing the same setup as Davids double cab, 2.0L, except CIS-E in a syncro van. From the throttlebody to the fuel distributor I am going to try the 3" rubber snorkel from a 88 Cutlas/Sierra, connected to the stock GTI plastic air tube, which fits the fuel dist. boot. Keep in mind that I have not tried this yet, just theory, length is my only concern. The Cutlass snorkel fits the VW throttlebody. Good luck.

How much modification is needed for this? Eyeballing it, it > looks too big. Any and all suggestions accepted. TIA, Scott
