Avoid them like the plague - I was ripped off by them several years ago on supposedly "rebuilt" transaxle. It turned out they only cleaned it up on the outside to make it look as if it had been serviced. Others here had noted similar experiences.

Dear List,

I'm wondering what people think of The Parts Place in Auburn Hills, MI as a source for Vanagon parts. The catalogue presents them as a friendly outfit. Anyone have any experience with their competence, prices, quality, and service?

Thanks,

Woody
