Head to a Majestic Muffler or Midas. If the exhaust is trashed, and has tobe replaced,DO NOT let them help you find a decent VW Shop. . If it is repairable (like welding, jury-rigged bracketing, etc.) these are the guys to fix it fast.

Listee's,

I just went out and looked at the muffler in day light... It sounds pretty bad and with good reason...

The muffler bracket is totally missing... The exhaust pipe on the side where the O2 sensor connects is torn/cracked (?) nearly 3/4 off...

Question's are: Can this be welded or its it a pipe replacement type of job? What can I expect to pay for a fix?

My hopes in taking the van to Santa Cruz for the 4th of July is looking a little dim ;0(

Debi
