You can set an automatic search up on epage.com and it will send you updates
each day on any new ads that meet your search criteria.  Pretty cool in
theory, and about one out of every four alerts I got was worth it.

Also, the website for the San Jose (CA) Mercury News (mercurycenter.com)has
allows you to search classified across a wide range of newspapers....I don't
know the full extent of the east coast coverage, but I WAS getting SOME east
coast ads when I used it.

I bet some bigger papers closer to you also have this feature.
