The trouble with van/car covers is that they must breath and unfortunately
many don't. If the cover traps moisture, then the vanagon is better off
without anything. I have thought of using a house wrap like Typar. This
stuff is wind and waterproof  but breaths and allows moisture to pass
through. This stuff is comparatively cheap.

P.S. what could be more fitting than a house wrap for a Westfalia.
