There is a pair of small plastic gears on the side of the speedo, and one of
them has split in two and no longer turns. I'm told its a common occurence.
I have super glued the gear back together on two occasions to no avail as
there is a lot of stress on the shaft. Bad design for sure. Around here, in
Utah, its $50 to get the gear replaced if you pull the speedo and take it to
the shop. I am living without the odometer for the time being ;)
