My question is:  Does humidity have an effect on the cooling of the
Dometic?

Last March & April we camped for 12 days, from MA to FL and back.  No
matter what the temperature during the day, the fridge on AC got down to 27
or so degrees at night. It got so cold at night that I would wait until
night to put stuff in that was warm like a few cans of soda. l The night
temperatures in FL were about 65 to 73 or so.  We seemed to have no trouble
running it on gas during the day, the highest it ever got was about 48 in
constant 85 degree heat parked with the sun on that side of the van.  Last
weekend camping in New Hampshire (very hot, in the 90s) we couldn't get it
below about 35 at night although the nightime temperatures outside were
probably in the high 50s or so.  The fan is running, nothing has changed,
we pack the fridge the same way we always do with about the same stuff.
Does anyone think that the humidity has anything to do with the fridge
performance?  The air was pretty dry on the trip to Florida but not last
weekend.
